 Raleigh, NC artist, Kim Young, specializes in floral and landscape paintings in acrylic, oil and watercolor. Her pet portraits are created in colored pencil on pastelboard, colored inks on scratchboard, or simple graphite pencil drawings. They capture the unique character and charm of some of our “best friends.” Some of Kim’s murals can be seen on the sides of buildings in Youngsville and in a variety of businesses and homes in North Carolina and Virginia. She has received several recognitions and awards for her work. The Pinehurst Annual Labor Day Food and Wine Festival selected Kim’s designs to represent the festival in their poster competition for three consecutive years, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

A verse of scripture is always added to the back of each finished piece in hopes of encouraging the recipient. She and her husband, Tim, have 4 children between them, 2 grandchildren, and an English Setter named Dylan.
